Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Newspress Engineer who will be responsible for playing a critical role in the development, optimization, and maintenance of our high-traffic websites. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, manage priorities, and ensure the delivery of top-notch web experiences. Your primary responsibilities will include custom plugin development, performance optimization, and the implementation of efficient coding standards.

Skill / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Extensive experience with WordPress development.
  • Proficiency in Gutenberg and creating dynamic blocks.
  • Strong expertise in custom WordPress plugin development.
  • Solid knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, React, Node.js, CSS, HTML, and MySQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and unit testing.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-traffic, production-grade environment.
  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Strong knowledge in Angular,Java,JavaScript,Microservices,React,SpringBoot.
  • Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
  • Experience with CircleCI for continuous integration.
  • Performance optimization techniques and tools.
  • Familiarity with New Relic for performance monitoring.
  • Experience with WordPress VIP.
  • End-to-end testing with Cypress or Playwright.

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and take ownership and accountability of projects.
  • Manage priorities and contribute proactively to performance optimization.
  • Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins.
  • Create dynamic Gutenberg blocks using React.
  • Contribute to efficient coding standards and practices.
  • Implement unit testing automation to ensure code quality.
  • Balance front-end, full-stack, back-end, and plugin specialty across the WordPress engine.
  • Find and implement ways to increase development efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
