Ameresco currently has a new opportunity for a Construction Manager based in , Fredericton NB, Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and manage all aspects of the construction of the project from pre-permitting stage to commercial operation.
  • Oversee the development of a detailed project schedule and construction methodology.
  • Work with the project manager/director to develop a resource plan and assist in the procurement process for subcontractors, on-site support personnel, suppliers, etc.
  • Create and review Requests for Information, Requests for Proposal, Change Notices.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the contract documents, approved manuals and procedures, and good engineering practices.
  • Develop and create contingency plans as required to safeguard the execution of the project in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support to the project manager/director and technical design team.
  • Develop and maintain project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.
  • Coordinate and monitor schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
  • Assist in managing and reviewing the progress of subcontractors’ construction schedules.
  • Oversee and minute construction progress meetings.
  • Review weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes.
  • Report the status of projects to business and project stakeholders.
  • Attend client program meetings as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes;
  • Foster positive and effective business relationships at all levels and project phases; and
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of managing energy efficiency projects and/or renewable energy projects (BESS, PV)
  • Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) industry experience
  • Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident province. 
  • Required to pass Federal security clearance investigation.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with New Brunswick safety standards, and project management regulations, practices, and codes;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships;
  • Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills;
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of Tools including MS Word, Excel, Project
  • Knowledge of construction technology
  • Knowledge of project controls
  • Conceptual planning ability
  • Conflict management and problem solving skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Multi-tasking ability
  • Communication, meeting, and presentation skills
  • Comfort with time reporting systems
  • Ability to travel.
