- Total hydraulic design of custom equipment to support a wide range of customer requirements
- Accurate and timely quotations for designed systems
- Equipment design and detail drawings for systems and applications
- Technical support for both internal and external customers
- Provide support in checking details, assemblies and BOMs for assigned projects
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
- Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects
- Recommend design modifications to improve efficiencies in equipment applications
- Maintain thorough documentation for all aspects of assigned projects
- Confer with team to resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to maintenance
- Work with manufacturing to provide cost effective solutions to performance problems
- Travel to customers’ sites ,both domestic and internationally, to support equipment
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Fluid Power Hydraulics or equivalent training
- Previous hydraulic design experience in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment
- Technical knowledge in mechanical systems an asset
- Working knowledge of 3D software – Inventor an asset
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally to support equipment at customers’ sites
