*Our Family Resource Network in Wetaskiwin is seeking a: *

*Part-Time Temporary Family Facilitator *

The *FRN (Family Resource Network)* is funded through the Prevention, Early Intervention and Youth Branch of The Ministry of Children and Family Services and has been created to provide Alberta families, children and youth aged 0-18 with evidence based and informed services. The services offered by the FRN will include child development, well-being support, caregiver capacity building support, and social connections and supports.

*Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:*
* A certificate or diploma in the Human Services Field and minimum 2 years human services experience _(consideration will be given to those with partially completed education)_
* Proof of Membership in Professional Association _(when applicable)_
* Proven record of group facilitation
* Knowledge of parent/child relationships and family dynamics
* Can model appropriate parenting skills.
* Basic First Aid Level C with Adult, Child, and infant CPR &AED
* Suicide Intervention Training & De-Escalation Training
* Intervention Record & Criminal Record Check with the vulnerable sector
* Class 5 Driver’s License, Clean Drivers Abstract and reliable vehicle for occasional client transportation required.

*Responsibilities include:*
* Group facilitation of children, youth, and parents within the designated communities (travel required)
* Providing education to parents in the areas of a child’s physical, emotional, and social developmental milestones
* Mentorship in the areas of emotional, behavioral & social development for youth
* Linking families with community services
* Family support and advocacy
* Working with families to engage, teach and support them in achieving their full potential with their children (ages 0 – 18 yrs.)

*Wage*: $23.25 per hour. Plus, Travel Reimbursement at $0.55/KM.

*Hours of work: *30 hours per week. A flexible schedule is required with availability to work evenings and at minimum one Saturday a month.
