Responsibilities:

  1. Define and manage overall systems and subsystems requirements to ensure safety, certification, and aircraft design objectives are met.

  2. Work with system suppliers and other disciplines to ensure smooth integration of systems on the aircraft.

  3. Integrate systems such as AFCS, Communication, Navigation, Displays, Information/Maintenance & Recording, etc., on the aircraft in a timely manner.

  4. Write, conduct, or witness development and certification tests on the aircraft and/or rigs.

  5. Review, analyze, and approve test results. Conduct and support ARP4754 system and aircraft verification and validations.

  6. Manage, review, and approve deliverables of Avionics System Suppliers. Liaise with Certifying Authorities for system certification.

  7. Support Final Assembly Line and In-Service Aircraft for design-related issues.

  8. Participate in the development and implementation of tools and processes to meet organizational objectives.

  9. Participate in the development and implementation of software for customization of crew alerting logic, I/O configuration, and automation of aircraft-level functions.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: University degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in relevant field.

  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Avionics Systems, understanding of system integration, and interaction with aircraft. Knowledge/experience in Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems is an asset.

  • Knowledge: Specification, design, integration, test, and certification of Avionics systems on aircraft. Familiarity with industry standards DO-178, DO-160, and ARP4754 is an asset.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving, work planning, and prioritization skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel.
