Position Summary:

In the role ofSummer Intern, the primary responsibility is to ensure that every part that enters or leaves our warehouse is handled with care. The Summer Intern's main responsibility will entail picking, tagging and putting away various parts.This role will report into the Customer Service Manager, and will be working closely with the Inventory Controller. The position houses full time hours and competitive wages.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Receive and count incoming parts, ensuring accuracy between the physical count and packing lists or purchase order quantities
  • Accurately record received part information into computer based inventory management system
  • Accurately read purchase orders and pick the correct parts quickly and correctly
  • Identify part location and label item with correct barcode
  • Accurately shelf parts in correct warehouse location
  • Assemble customer orders, picking parts, confirming part numbers and quantities

Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude and team work is a must
  • Warehouse experience is an asset but not an absolute
  • Ability to:
    • Adapt to change and quick turn around
    • Work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
    • Learn and understand our computer system
    • Continuously stand and walk on concrete surface
    • Intermittently lift 50 lbs unassisted
  • Strong:
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Time management, organization and multitasking abilities
    • Attendance record and punctuality
  • Team orientated and customer service approach to work
