Job Description

CEDA is hiring a Maintenance Coordinator for our shop in Fort McMurray. This position will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, and scheduling of equipment maintenance, and provide administrative support for the maintenance team.

This is an ideal position for someone with experience working in a shop environment, who enjoys being the go-to person and excels working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance
  • Leading administrative support for the maintenance department, ensuring streamlined and efficient processes
  • Executing data entry tasks with accuracy
  • Identifying, analyzing, and rectifying data discrepancies
  • Collaborating with the team to provide relevant information and resourcesenabling them to excel in their primary functions
  • Collaborating with parts and warehouse team, CEDA Fleet, and 3rd party billing services
  • Utilizing problem-solving skills to address challenges
  • Actively participating in Ceda’s safety & training program
  • Generating reports on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and cost
  • Communicate directly with operations and maintenance teams to schedule repairs & preventive maintenance
  • Providing a wide variety of administrative support to maintenance team
  • Maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors and participate in meetings

Role Specifications

  • Minimum one year of administrative experience in a maintenance/shop environment.
  • Proficiency in computer software systems for creating work orders and managing service records
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Related post-secondary education would be an asset

  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work within a deadline-oriented environment
  • Detail oriented – you pay attention to the small things
  • Excited by change, shifting priorities, and problem solving
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a customer service focus
