Description

Looking for either a Building Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to provide facility engineering services for Company Canada Engineering. Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing specifications and bid packages for facility projects.
  2. Managing construction and equipment installation projects.
  3. Developing equipment standards and operating procedures for the operation of facility equipment.
  4. Managing third-party maintenance services of facility equipment and buildings.

This position is % on site.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Project management for facility projects to meet timing, specifications, and cost objectives.
  2. Reviewing design documents and monitoring construction work in the field.
  3. Providing technical support, coordinating responses, and resolving field issues.
  4. Working with the project team to ensure adherence to the project schedule.
  5. Coordinating with other disciplines for project installation and delivery.
  6. Monitoring the quality of work and overseeing equipment start-up, commissioning, and acceptance tests.
  7. Evaluating completion of contractor's work and providing oversight of equipment.
  8. Documenting problems found and providing lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  9. Reviewing monthly invoicing and taking ownership of building electrical and mechanical systems.
Requirements

Looking for a Building Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with:

  • years construction management experience.
  • Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • years engineering experience with facility electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • Strong project management, organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.

Additional Must Haves:

  • years engineering experience with facility electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs and AutoCAD.
  • years of experience in an industrial setting in Ontario.
Location

This position is Onsite - % at the Automotive Research and Development Centre. Required to drive a Stellantis vehicle during the assignment: YES. Amount of travel: Frequent travel within City of Windsor, infrequent travel to the US and other parts of Ontario.
