Reports to: Manager, Estimating
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, assembling costs and estimates for projects during the sales and project budgeting phases. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to complete estimates in a timely manner are essential. This technical role involves creating detailed and complex estimates based on available design drawings and information.
Essential Responsibilities- Create detailed complex estimates for waterslides, aquatic play structures, and dry play structures using available design drawings and sketches. Price lists will not be available for quotations.
- Manage the production of large detailed estimates with the support of other estimators.
- Undertake a thorough estimate check process of work completed by other team members.
- Assist in the development of proposal documents and provide detailed and budget estimates for future proposals.
- Develop preliminary slide support and tower design concepts and draft scope of work documents.
- Ensure estimates reflect current costs and maintain an updated costing database.
- Review completed projects for accuracy improvement in future estimates.
The ideal candidate will possess a background in math, statistics, and analysis, along with relevant experience in construction or manufacturing estimating. An Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or Accounting related degree would be beneficial. Proficiency with Excel and contract management is preferred. Strong written and spoken English skills are required.
