635 Sprucewood Drive, Windsor ON is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as:

Industrial Engineer

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for coordination of activities associated with lean manufacturing to achieve the most effective and efficient way to manufacture products at high quality and reliable levels in a consistent basis. The Industrial Engineer is also to assist Program Engineering in activities relating to new program launches and engineering changes, as required at Plasman.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  1. Drives continuous improvement activities through the Kaizen philosophy.
  2. Drive continuous improvement to support waste reduction, IPPM, scrap, downtime and other lean manufacturing
  3. Identify process improvements, including cost benefit analysis and ROI
  4. Support the analysis of downtime data and provide opportunities for increased productivity through improvement activities.
  5. Support Production improvements by working with outside suppliers and Maintenance Dept.
  6. Develop labour calculations and capacity planning models to allow efficient managing of resources and production bottlenecks.
  7. Perform elemental time studies of process.
  8. Draft & design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency utilizing AutoCAD.
