Overview:The Engineer is a fully qualified and accredited engineering professional who applies theoreticaland practical knowledge to provide engineering design, estimating, planning, and qualitymanagement services for low to medium complexity projects and/or operations safely, withquality, within budget, and on time.What you will be doing?• Minimum 4 years as a civil-structural engineer in Canada.• Collaborates well working in a multi-discipline team.• Thorough knowledge and experience in design related to Distribution plant includingU/G and O/H - may include feasibility studies, preliminary design, detailed design, fieldwork, etc.• Thorough knowledge and experience in assessment and mitigation of adverse siteconditions related to Distribution plant damage and rehabilitation• Thorough working knowledge of common industry practices, analysis and designsoftware• Thorough understanding of safety in the field / thorough understanding ofenvironmental effects and impacts of existing conditions, construction activities, andpermanent installations• Familiar with MMCD, MoTI Utilities Manual, CoV Utilities Design Manual, etc. and codesand design requirements of Authorities Having Jurisdiction.What you need to have?• University graduate in applied science or engineering• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) withEngineers & Geoscientists BC or with another jurisdiction and eligible for registration assuch with Engineers & Geoscientists BC• Our client uses a Digital Sign and Seal Technology. You may be required to subscribe to adigital seal technology service offered by Notarius• Familiarity with CAD systems and drawing standardsAbility to use standard industrydesign/analysis software• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)• Intermediate English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
