This Opportunity

We are currently looking to fill 1 Full Time Senior Brain Injury Support Worker (Rehabilitation), 35 Hours Per Week for our Assisted Living/Brain Injury Services in Sudbury, ON.

Roles and responsibilities 

  • Reporting responsibilities (incident reports, behavioural data collection, verbal reports and progress reports)
  • Participate in any required training
  • Follow policies and procedures as required
  • Provide one to one support and group support within the home and community toadults with an Acquired Brain Injury with activities of daily living, personal care, and rehabilitation planning.
  • Communicate with clients, family, and team members. Implement services as perdirection from rehabilitation team.
  • To provide services on a flexible basis including a mix of days, evenings and weekends as well as on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications and experience 

  • Post-Secondary preferred in Human and Social Services
  • Minimum of three years experience in Human Services field and/or working with people with ABI.
  • Experience with report writing an asset
  • Current CPI and CPR, First Aid an asset
  • Proven consistency in work performance, including reliability and flexibility
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Sound behavioral management skills, cognitive problem solving skills.
  • Proven team work abilities
  • Working knowledge of ABI and rehabilitation
  • Ability to effectively deal with behavioral situations
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
