Test Automation Developer

You will assist in the creation, maintenance, and execution of test scripts and object repository. In addition, the Test Automation Developer will be responsible for the debugging and triage of script defect and issues. The chosen candidate must demonstrate high motivation to learn new software and take initiative based on past experiences in Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop test documentation, execute tests, and monitor results
  • Deliver a set of reusable, modular tests for UI components
  • Adhere to and promote standards for test development best practices
  • Test technical issues to improve technical proficiency and skill levels
  • Follow established testing standards and methods to create and contribute to the development of overall test plans, the design of complex SIT plans, and evaluate the application of emerging technologies
  • Work with the team to cover deliverables by means of test case coverage, test automation, and exploratory testing
  • Collaborate as a team to achieve overall project success
  • Participate in test automation planning, implementing and actively maintaining CI/CD testing pipelines
  • Provide feedback on test automation frameworks for continuous improvement

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, detail-oriented
  • 3+ years of experience in programming or scripting languages (Python, C#, VB, etc.)
  • 3-5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or other related discipline with direct involvement in automated testing of web applications
  • Experience in a test automation tool is a must (Selenium - Python, TestComplete, HP QTP/UFT, etc.)
  • Proficient in WebServices API Testing; RESTful, SOAP, WDSL
  • Good understanding of SDLC and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative)
  • Experience using and testing Linux based systems
  • Experience in SQL scripting, database design
  • Strong work ethic and enthusiastic about new challenges
  • Ability to self-motivate and self-manage and communicate project status

Nice to have

  • Testing experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, Docker, RabbitMQ, MongoDB

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
