Mechanical Engineer

By joining the Mechanical Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the detailed design, development and sustainment of our medical simulation and training products
- Execute the design and development for the Medical Simulator family of products.
- Coordinate hardware integration tasks and design reviews with other groups throughout product development.
- Command a clear understanding of all technical requirements for assigned projects.
- Provide technical expertise during subjective and objective evaluations of training devices.
- Communicate with sales representatives and medical professionals to ensure system requirements are met.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to turn biomedical functional system requirements into mechanical design solutions.
- Lead and execute mechanical product development through the entire product lifecycle.
- Create DFMEA documentation to manage risks and improve quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or relevant work experience in new product development.
- 4+ years of relevant mechanical design experience, SolidWorks experience an asset.
- Enjoys design challenges and working in a fast-paced development environment.
- Experience in design for biomedical applications, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and electro-mechanical systems considered an asset.
- Experience in DFM (Design for Manufacturability) of injection molded, cast, machined and sheet metal parts.
- Experience working in a hands-on lab and prototyping environments.
- Dynamic team player with sense of initiative, results-oriented, has good team spirit.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset and the talent to turn ideas into quality products.
