Job Description: Senior Electrical Engineer

As AtkinsRéalis positions itself for growth in the Manitoba marketplace, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer.

Your role within the team:
  1. Preparation of electrical single line diagrams, AC control schematics, wiring distribution schemes, panel schedules.
  2. Development of cable block diagrams, cable and conduit schedules.
  3. Design of physical layout of electrical equipment, raceway and grounding plans related to the various facilities within the plant.
  4. Preparation of cable and raceway routing layouts. Arc Flash calculations and label preparation. Work on reports. Perform site visits.
  5. Design and development of electric heat tracing systems.
  6. Perform drafting/drawing tasks using AutoCAD.
  7. Perform design work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code.

The ideal candidate:
  1. Degree in Electrical Engineering. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with EGM.
  2. 10+ years’ experience in the electrical consulting, industrial, or construction industries.
  3. Experience with AutoCAD, PLC programming, and knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code is beneficial.
  4. Must have a valid driver’s license.
  5. Demonstrated excellent written and oral English communication skills.
