Town of Middleton, Canada Vets for Pets Full time

Are you a passionate and skilled vet looking for a new opportunity to take your career to the next level? We are looking for an experienced vet to join our team and help provide exceptional care to our large and loyal client base. With flexible work, great benefits, and an excellent work-life balance, this is the perfect chance to advance your career and shape your own vet career journey while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About us:
Our practice is independently run, by Dan our Practice Owner, supported by a fantastic team, who are committed to delivering an outstanding level of service in the community. The team is supportive and really like to push each other to achieve their career goals, so CPD and certificates are highly encouraged.

In practice, we carry out both routine and non-routine surgical procedures including orthopaedics and most soft tissue surgery; examples include thyroidectomy, reconstructive surgery, anal gland removal and cystotomy. We also have a dedicated in-house lab, digital x-ray machine, dental machine, and ultrasound machine.

Middleton is located on the North side of Manchester only 30 minutes outside of the city centre and is easily accessible via buses and trains to Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, and Manchester. For those who enjoy the countryside, Heaton Park and Alkrington Nature Reserve are under 10 minutes from the practice. The practice is also under 10 minutes from the M60, providing an ideal commuting journey for those coming from further afield.

About you:
We are looking for an experienced vet to join the team, ideally with a strong surgical bias which would allow us to increase our surgery days in practice. However, if you have interests in other areas, we are still very keen to meet you.

You should be comfortable in both consults and surgery as sole charge will be required. Enthusiasm and passion for what you do is essential, as well as providing an excellent and comprehensive service to all clients and patients.

We would be delighted for you to join the team, and you would be supported by our current colleagues, including our vet, Head RVN, 1 SVN, and our non-clinical team which includes a Practice Manager, Head Receptionist, 2 Receptionists, and two VCA’s.

Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you
