Associate Veterinarian - West Toronto

We are now seeking a Veterinarian to join our amazing team as the sole practitioner for a busy clinic. The current DVM is retiring, and this is an amazing opportunity for that special someone who is looking for a new challenge in their career.

You will be guaranteed a consistent work schedule from 9-6pm, continuing education coverage, membership fees covered, paid liability insurance, paid holiday time, VIN membership, and health benefits. Compensation range is between $150k-$200k (based on experience) per annum.

Full-time and part-time applicants are considered.

In this role, you will advance the quality of medicine in the practice and continue to provide exceptional client service to our large client base.

Responsibilities

  • Build rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to their concerns.
  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
  • Communicate with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
  • Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and ensure all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
  • Stay current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
  • Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
  • Present a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.

Skills and Basic Qualifications

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Ontario.
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
  • Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
  • Any experience level is encouraged to apply
