Responsibilities:
  1. Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to understand project requirements thoroughly.
  2. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and create precise cost estimates for electrical projects, covering materials, labor, and equipment.
  3. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to establish project budgets and timelines.
  4. Identify potential risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures during the estimation process.
  5. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including scope of work, cost breakdowns, and schedules.
  6. Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
  7. Maintain an updated database of material, equipment, and labor pricing.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends, code changes, regulations, and pricing fluctuations.
  9. Offer guidance and mentorship to junior estimators when necessary.
Qualifications:
  1. Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry.
  2. Demonstrate a deep understanding of electrical systems, codes, and industry best practices.
  3. Display proficiency in using estimating software and related tools.
  4. Exhibit excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  5. Show meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
  6. Possess strong communication and negotiation skills.
  7. Demonstrate the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  8. A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
