Position Overview

The Head of Sales at Summit will be the key driving force behind the company's sales strategy, ensuring alignment with our core values and business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess profound leadership skills, a visionary approach to sales, and the capability to inspire and direct a team of sales professionals. You will work symbiotically with our Head of Sales Operations; while the Head of Sales drives the team to meet these goals, the Head of Sales Operations ensures that the infrastructure supports these efforts seamlessly.

As Head of Sales, you will be the driving force behind generating revenue, with the Head of Revenue Operations as the backbone, ensuring that everything runs smoothly in the background. Your combined efforts around this common goal will create a well-oiled machine that drives sales growth efficiently and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Craft, refine, and implement robust sales strategies that bolster the company’s vision and revenue goals.
  • Team Management: Mentor, guide, build and support sales teams, ensuring they consistently meet targets and deliver top-tier customer service.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring Summit remains their first choice.
  • Performance Metrics: Work with the Head of Sales Operations to leverage sales metrics and data to understand performance, and spearhead improvements.
  • Training & Upskilling: Champion continuous professional development by organizing training sessions, ensuring the team is well-equipped with the latest industry knowledge.
  • Collaboration: Work in tandem with other departments to ensure seamless integration of sales strategies with overall company goals.
  • Market Analysis: Continually assess market trends to identify new opportunities and potential threats.
  • Recruiting and Hiring: Play an instrumental role in interviewing potential sales candidates

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 7+ years in a senior sales leadership role within the insurance industry.
  • Licensing: Level 2 license. Possession of a RIBO licence will be a distinct advantage.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to design and execute high-impact sales strategies.
  • Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams to achieve excellence.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to dissect complex sales data and derive actionable insights.
  • Industry Network: Leverage industry contacts to establish and nurture strategic partnerships and recruiting strategies.
