Position Summary

The Project Superintendent will manage and control assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination. They will work in conjunction with the Project Manager leading the project team. Responsibilities include directing the day-to-day activities onsite, planning crew activities in the short and long term, resolving field construction issues, maintaining client relations, and managing small to medium-sized projects or directing one portion of a major project.

Core Accountabilities

  1. Manage the crews, sub-contractors, and all other resources to complete the job.
  2. Build a competitively superior organization by attracting, developing, and retaining talent.
  3. Actively participate in construction planning and scheduling.
  4. Assist in bid for new jobs as required.
  5. Lead the overall implementation to ensure that the project is constructed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  6. If required, manage project budget and resource allocation.
  7. Ensure all field personnel complete required safety training and hold appropriate tickets.
  8. Ensure compliance with project procedures and safety requirements.
  9. Document all violations and incidents.

Qualifications

  1. Supervising experience in oil, construction, or related industry.
  2. Must be able to pass pre-employment alcohol and drug test.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  1. Solid understanding of construction methods and blueprint reading.
  2. Sound knowledge of construction execution and best practices.
  3. Superior leadership skills.
  4. Developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  6. Meticulous record-keeping skills.
  7. Capable of working independently with minimal direction.
  8. Possesses an eye for detail.
