The Role:

Our Licensed Store Manager is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience with you and join us as our newest Licensed Optician on a one year contract.

The Licensed Optician plays a critical role within Moulton's Optical Centre and is crucial to our success by delivering world-class service to our customers. You'll often be the first point of contact with the public, so you must bring with you your passion for people and your drive to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

This position is a full-time, 12-month contract role working up to 40 hours per week, Mondays to Saturdays. The possibility exists for this role to become permanent in the future.

What Will You Be Doing?

Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle
Assisting with selection of frames to suit your client’s aesthetic and performance needs
Upholding excellent customer service standards using your charisma and problem-solving skills
Performing repairs and adjustments to customers' eyewear
Placing Contact Lens orders and assisting with fittings
Communicating with patients in person, by phone, and by email
Billing the patient, their medical service provider and other third parties
Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts and billing and payments
Performing preliminary testing on patients when an Optometrist is working
Contributing to store retail sales goals

What Do You Bring?

Minimum one years’ experience in an optical environment
Provincial dual license or certification by a nationally or provincially recognized college as an optician (or close to completion of a program)
Passionate about customer experience; a great communicator who can provide exceptional interactions with customers
Committed to excelling as a member of a high performing team
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite
Previous retail experience an asset
