What you’ll be doing

The Technical Project Manager (PM) plays a pivotal role in managing Inspire Global Assessment’s digitization and virtualization journey and overseeing product development projects. This role requires a highly skilled individual to lead and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet strategic objectives.

They will oversee multiple medium to large size product development projects with high complexity and risks, scope, budget, and/or impact. The Technical Project Manager efficiently coordinates people, process, and partners to ensure that projects deliver the intended, desired business value.

Together with the Executive Director, Inspire Global Assessments (Inspire), the Technical PM works to support the effective communication and integration of product deliverables. The Technical PM liaises with internal and external business stakeholders and/or technical teams in managing the scope, schedule, resourcing, communication, and escalates issues to the ED, Inspire. They are responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of transforming the Simulation Lab Assessment (SLA) into a virtual space, and in utilizing current and developing technologies such as virtual reality and artificial intelligence.

Key responsibilities include

  • Onboard and oversee technical product development of (4)+ distinct innovation labs and their maturity into a fulsome product portfolio of Inspire Global Assessments.
  • Work closely with the ED, Inspire to ensure alignment on project deliverables, capacity, and challenges.
  • Analyze, plan, and execute on the delivery model and expectations for product delivery and funding expectations.
  • Allocate financial and personnel resources accountable for delivering product development, including determining and defining clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Manage the partnerships associated with product development.
  • Based on project selection and prioritization procedures, develop detailed project plans and manage executions of projects to be delivered on time and within budget and scope.
  • Work with key project stakeholders, defining the vision, scope, and goals of assigned projects and ensuring that project plans reflect capacity to achieve established quality assurance standards and service level expectations.
  • Proactively track project deliverables and manage resource allocation, using appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. Monitor budgets and variances, and provide forecasts. Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks to the project scope as needed to closely manage project quality. Escalate critical risks to the appropriate stakeholders, keeping the Executive Director informed.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with and manage expectations of all stakeholders across the organization. Enable and support a transparent, accountable, and collaborative working culture through the overall project processes.
  • Provide insight, recommendations, and assistance with staff-focused change management to support project rollout, including organizing staff training, User Acceptance Testing, and operational support services preparation activities.
  • Foster and maintain an organizational culture that promotes mutual respect, teamwork, and service excellence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Product / Project Management accreditation is preferred.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in demonstrated Product / Project Management of technical product delivery.
  • Experience delivering on projects related to digital transformation is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience of project management and delivering within agile methodology.
