Your Work Environment at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of the Earth & Environmental team, based in Sudbury, ON office.
What a day at EXP has in store for youProject coordination, fieldwork, and reporting for a variety of sites in northeastern Ontario using standard field methodologies and protocols under the guidance of senior engineers/professionals.
Writing clear and concise field inspection reports.
Reviewing laboratory and field inspection reports.
Executing field work including, but not limited to:
- Groundwater and surface water sampling.
- Test pit and borehole drilling supervision and sample logging (both geotechnical and geo-environmental).
- Water level measurements, and piezometer readings.
- Environmental Site Assessments and site inspection (Phase I and Phase II).
Environmental/Geological/Civil Technician or Technology Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Natural Sciences (Earth Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering).
1+ years of related field experience.
Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) in English, French an asset.
Familiarity and working knowledge of AutoCAD, gINT, and Microsoft Office.
Must be comfortable working in the field on construction and mining project sites and traveling out of town, possibly for several days' duration.
Strong people skills and ability to work with a wide variety of staff and clients.
A valid Canadian driver’s license is required and access to a vehicle is desired (mileage allowance is provided).
