Normal work schedule: Rotation of 4 weeks paid, i.e., 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks paid to rest.

Responsibilities

Reporting to: Chief Project Engineer Capital

The project engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of construction projects at our mining site. Their main responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting tendering processes for engineering and project implementation.
  2. Monitoring project progress and budget tracking.
  3. Compiling diverse activity reports.
  4. Ensuring the progress of work according to plans and specifications, in the short and medium term.
  5. Working closely with various departments of the company.
  6. Providing technical support for the implementation of various improvement projects.
  7. Addressing company health and safety requirements and recommendations.
  8. Performing other related tasks associated with this position.
Qualifications Assets
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Quebec's engineering association).
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in project management and implementing continuous improvement strategies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
Assets
  • Experience in heavy industry or in the mining and metals field.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite software.
  • Due to frequent interactions with French-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and improve our internal communications.
