Situated in the vibrant and historic town of Port Hope, the PHRC works in conjunction with ACE Tennis to promote the game of tennis to the Northumberland community by providing high-quality tennis programs, summer camps, leagues, events, and tournaments. Currently underway is an exciting opportunity for the club to bring year-round tennis to Port Hope as soon as the Fall of 2024. The club is looking for an enthusiastic and vibrant head pro to join the team and help expand the club to a 4-season facility. Job Description

The successful candidates will be working from May to August with the opportunity to continue in the Fall/Winter. Ideal candidates will have a passion for tennis and growing the love of the game, thrive within a team environment, work well independently, and have a strong work ethic with a flexible schedule. There is weeknight work in spring and summer as well as morning and/or afternoon camp hours in July and August. Added revenue opportunities may be available through Pickleball instruction. 

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Certified Instructor, but will train successful candidates
  • Current First Aid/CPR, but will train successful candidates
  • Experience coaching both adults and juniors
  • Flexibility to coach daytime, nights, and weekends
  • Friendly, caring, and energetic with an ability to engage players
  • Punctual, reliable, and organized with good communication skills
  • Pickleball Instructor Certification, but will train successful candidates

Pay Rate will be based on qualifications and experience.
