What you’ll do:Eaton Corporation is hiring for a Human Resource Director located within a fift (50) mile radius of Burlington, Canada. The Canada Division is a critical business unit within Eaton's Protection, Control and Solutions (PCS) organization, operating as an integrated business that delivers industry-leading electrical distribution, circuit protection, power management, and safety solutions across the Canadian market. The division serves a broad range of customer segments including commercial and institutional buildings, industrial facilities, utilities, data centers, infrastructure projects, and OEM partners.
With approximately 1,500 employees, including more than 500 manufacturing employees and a substantial commercial and field service organization, the Canada Division combines manufacturing, sales, engineering, customer support, and service capabilities to deliver comprehensive power management solutions to customers nationwide. The business generated approximately CAD $824 million in annual sales and maintains a leading market position with nearly 29% market share in key power distribution segments.
The organization is distinguished by its strong distributor relationships, extensive technical expertise, and bilingual operating model supporting both English and French-speaking customers across Canada. As part of Eaton's broader PCS organization, the division leverages global innovation, advanced digital technologies, and a robust product portfolio to help customers improve power reliability, safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
The Canada Division plays a strategic role in supporting Eaton's growth initiatives by driving market share expansion, delivering exceptional customer experiences, strengthening channel partnerships, and advancing electrification and energy transition opportunities. Through a customer-centric approach, operational excellence, and continuous investment in talent and technology, the division is positioned to contribute significantly to Eaton's long-term growth objectives and leadership position within the electrical industry.
Essential Functions:You will work with the division leadership, functional leaders and site managers to understand how supporting human resources programs and initiatives are to be aligned with strategic and annual business objectives.
You will drive unified HR initiatives and plans with measurable objectives that support business, financial and employee engagement goals.
As a strategic business partner, you will work with PCS leadership teams to ensure direction, priorities and cultural expectations are aligned to Eaton Values & Philosophies while acting as a champion for the tools in the Eaton Business System (EBS).
You will drive HR functional excellence through deployment of Eaton programs, ensuring quality of process and content and alignment with the EBS to achieve goals and objectives.
You will ensure that knowledge retention and sharing mechanisms are developed, continuously improved and sustained.
You will manage, mentor and develop skills of the Human Resources team to support business initiatives and goals including direct and functional reports.
You will build organizational capability through ownership of talent management processes including acquisition, assessment, performance management, employee development, succession planning and retention.
You will manage and develop employee compensation, reward and recognition programs, driving a pay-for-performance culture in support of business objectives, while ensuring all compensation programs are aligned to corporate policy.
You will foster a culture of manager ownership and accountability of the employee life cycle.
You will drive positive employee relations to provide an optimal work environment for all employees.
You will work with site managers and local HR talent to deploy communication plans and utilize assessment tools (e.g. the employee survey) to identify organizational issues and drive action plans.
You will foster a culture where ownership of health and safety is embraced by all employees, utilize MESH to ensure compliance with state, federal, and provincial safety requirements and drive a \"zero incident\" culture.
You will develop and implement solutions to organizational challenges by leading and coaching others through change.
You will facilitate a culture where best practices are retained and shared across the Human Resources organization and benchmark industry and local best practices to set stretch performance targets.

Minimum of seven (7) years of increasing responsibility in a progressive HR environment.
