Legacy giving expertise and donor relationships define this Associate Director role in London, Ontario, with collaborative in-office work at St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation.
Reporting to the Director, Development, the Associate Director will strengthen and grow an established legacy giving program. The role manages approximately 100 to 150 current and prospective donors. It combines cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, estate planning conversations, and cross-functional fundraising collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement legacy giving strategy with the Director, Development
- Manage approximately 100 to 150 legacy donor relationships
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward bequest and trust donors
- Integrate legacy opportunities across campaigns, events, and fundraising initiatives
- Oversee planned gift documentation and donor acknowledgements
Requirements:
- Progressive fundraising experience, ideally including legacy gift fundraising
- Major gifts experience and interest in developing legacy expertise
- Knowledge of bequests, insurance, securities, and deferred giving
- Experience managing donor portfolios through solicitation and stewardship
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
