Build civil and telecommunications infrastructure with BAAC Construction as a heavy equipment operator focused on excavators, skid steers, and safe site production. Travel is required.
This experienced operator position is based through BAAC Construction’s Calgary operations office, with current work near Prince Albert. You will support demanding projects by handling excavation, trenching, loading, stockpiling, site preparation, cleanup, grading, and finishing. Modern equipment and technology support accurate field work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excavate and trench around buried services and hazards
- Load, move, and stockpile construction materials
- Prepare, clean, grade, and finish project sites
- Use skid steer attachments, including buckets and augers
- Maintain safe production around ground personnel
Requirements:
- Three or more years on civil construction projects
- Experience operating excavators and skid steers
- Knowledge of urban and congested excavation environments
- Valid Class 5 licence; Class 1 or 3 considered asset
- Ground Disturbance Level II, WHMIS, or Confined Space tickets assets
