Clinical Respirologists with general respirology expertise can serve Fraser East through Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre. Share inpatient consultations and on call responsibilities locally.
Fraser Health seeks a Clinical Respirologist to join four existing respirologists at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. The practice includes general outpatient respirology for Fraser East and inpatient coverage for the hospital respirology consult service. Available services include a pulmonary function lab, Level 1 sleep lab, and flexible bronchoscopy. Confirmed funding supports upcoming EBUS expansion, creating an opportunity to help implement EBUS and expand interventional pulmonary services. The position excludes most responsible provider responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Share inpatient on call responsibilities for respirology consultations
- Provide local outpatient general respirology practice
- Serve Fraser East’s population through hospital services
- Help implement EBUS during upcoming service expansion
- Expand interventional pulmonary services at the hospital
Requirements:
- Pass the Royal College Examination in Internal Medicine and Respirology
- Demonstrate sufficient clinical experience across respirology
- Demonstrate competency in all general respirology areas
- Hold CMPA, CPSBC Full, and FRCPC qualifications
- Interventional respirology experience considered an asset
