Smith + Andersen seeks an Electrical Field Representative for its Calgary office. You will compare contractor work with contract documents and support projects through construction administration. The work includes site investigations, field reporting, payment review, and coordination with designers, contractors, and internal electrical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fire alarm verifications and issue required certificates
- Conduct integrated life safety systems testing and certification
- Review construction progress across multiple project sites
- Prepare field review, due diligence, and planning reports
- Process contractor payment certificates and construction changes
Requirements:
- Four or more years inspecting electrical building services construction
- Journeyman or Master Electrical Trade Certificate required
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction administration
- Familiarity with fire alarm and specialized electrical systems
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
