Develop AIRCHECK with UHN in Toronto, using cloud engineering and data pipelines to advance open science collaboration in drug discovery.
As a Data/Software Engineer at the Structural Genomics Consortium, you will build a cloud-based platform for sharing structured chemical screening data. Your work supports FAIR and Open science principles while enabling machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in drug discovery. The permanent, full-time position reports to a Senior Scientist within UHN’s Research department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain the AIRCHECK database and data portal
- Develop pipelines and storage for chemical screening data
- Integrate analytics and AI capabilities for molecule prediction
- Ensure security, privacy, and regulatory compliance
- Optimize performance and scalability for massive datasets
Requirements:
- Degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or related field
- At least two years of software development experience
- Data engineering and cloud application design experience
- React framework, Express.js, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes experience
- Databricks, PySpark, cloud, big data, and AI/ML familiarity
