Become a Trade Compliance Specialist at IKO Industries in Mississauga. This full-time role emphasizes cross-border compliance and management of regulatory requirements.
Responsible for maintaining compliance in all cross-border shipments, the Trade Compliance Specialist will ensure the company adheres to regulatory policies. This position requires a deep understanding of trade agreements and customs legislation. You'll work to ensure data integrity in all electronic filings and act as a liaison for inquiries regarding compliance and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain a master list of tariff classifications
• Contact suppliers about the trade status of products
• Supply required paperwork to end-user customers
• Liaise with Brokers and Supply Chain for goods movement
• Manage inquiries and audit requests with customs authorities
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Customs and Trade operations
• Strong understanding of compliance with cross-border shipments
• Advanced ERP and MSOffice proficiency
• Hands-on experience with Canadian and US customs
• Detail-focused with the ability to meet challenging deadlines This role demands expertise in compliance and strong collaboration with internal stakeholders.
