Director, B2B and Commercial Platforms, Canada
Department: Food and Retail, Canada
Location: On site, Any Canadian Business Unit office
Type of employment: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)
As Director, B2B and Commercial Platforms, Canada, you will lead the strategy, development, and growth of Canada's commercial B2B platforms across fuel, car wash, High-Speed Diesel (HSD), and adjacent business opportunities. By connecting national strategy, Business Unit execution, partner management, and customer-facing solutions, the role plays a critical part in driving sustainable growth and supporting the delivery of the Core + More strategy. It also provides an opportunity to strengthen engagement with the individuals transacting behind B2B customers through the use of ACT’s B2C assets and capabilities. Reporting to the Vice President, Food and Retail, Canada, this position is responsible for overseeing the Canadian B2B business and the national HSD network while supporting long-term commercial performance across the country. Working closely with Canadian Business Units, the U.S. B2B team, strategic partners, and cross-functional stakeholders, the Director will help identify and unlock new growth opportunities across North America. The role also contributes to the evaluation and development of emerging commercial platforms, including EV charging, last-mile package handling, pharmacy channels, and loyalty alliances, while supporting the successful execution of key strategic initiatives across Canada.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Collaborate with Business Unit Fuel Directors, the U.S. B2B team, and third-party solution providers to maximize commercial opportunities across North America.
- Oversee the performance and growth of Canada's B2B fuel, car wash, and High-Speed Diesel businesses.
- Develop and expand strategic relationships with national B2B customers and partners.
- Evaluate commercial opportunities and oversee their successful execution and profitability.
- Proactively identify and pursue B2B growth opportunities aligned with the company’s corporate strategy.
- Act as a change agent by promoting and supporting the implementation of new programs, processes, and operational initiatives.
- Drive consistent and standardized process execution across the organization, including at the store level.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve financial and operational performance.
- Apply strategic and conceptual thinking to develop innovative business-growth solutions and simplify processes.
- Lead and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
- Ensure that key timelines, deliverables, and milestones are consistently met.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including leading ad hoc projects, supporting emergency response procedures, and assuming other operational leadership responsibilities during high-demand periods.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail operations
- Minimum of five years of experience in project planning and coordination, including projects or programs requiring the integration of cross-functional business solutions
- Experience managing operational or financial project budgets and leading geographically dispersed teams through influence rather than direct authority.
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
