Seaspan Shipyards is seeking an Electrical Engineer III in North Vancouver, British Columbia. This pivotal role focuses on executing Electrical Systems engineering assignments for new construction projects.
As an Electrical Engineer III, you will collaborate with the Electrical Systems Manager across all phases of design projects, from requirements decomposition to engineering close-out. Your expertise will help prepare design documents for various vessel constructions, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards. Innovate cost-reduction strategies while managing material specifications for optimal efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare design and calculation packages to meet contract requirements
• Develop design documents for fisheries and naval vessels
• Perform trade studies to provide efficient engineering solutions
• Create material specifications aligned with client requirements
• Represent Seaspan to enhance industry reputation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• P.
Eng. designation preferred
• Knowledge of ship/maritime systems advantageous
• Technical writing and analysis skills Leverage your engineering expertise in a collaborative environment to shape innovative maritime solutions.
