Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Software Engineer with expertise in IBM technologies to join our team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IBM Safer Payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend/API development and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for the IBM Safer Payments platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Lead the technical design and architecture of software solutions, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
- Implement best practices for software development, including testing, documentation, and deployment.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to payment systems and IBM solutions.
Mandatory Skills
- Extensive experience with IBM technologies, particularly in payment processing systems.
- Proficiency in backend development languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of payment industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend/API development.
- Proven experience as a lead developer or technical architect.
