Lead sports science innovation from Kimberley through hybrid strategic planning, research, and on-site engagement. Apply scientific expertise to athletic performance and athlete well-being.
This senior leadership position directs sports science and innovation for a leading Leisure & Sports institution. You will guide multidisciplinary specialists across physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, and sports psychology. The work translates research and technology into practical performance, injury prevention, and recovery strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the sports science and innovation strategic vision
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary sports science professionals
- Oversee research on performance, injury prevention, and recovery
- Evaluate technologies and methodologies supporting athletes and coaches
- Translate scientific findings into actionable training strategies
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a related field
- At least eight years’ sports science research and application experience
- Proven leadership and scientific team management experience
- Expertise across multiple sports science domains
- Strong communication, presentation, and scientific writing skills
Direct sports science research, innovation, and multidisciplinary expertise while advancing athletic performance in Kimberley’s hybrid environment.
