Lead digital IC design at StarIC in Toronto, using VHDL or Verilog across a hybrid semiconductor engineering environment. Drive designs from architecture through verification.
As a Senior IC Digital Design Engineer, you will manage digital development projects and digital blocks within mixed-signal integrated circuits. The work spans specification, modeling, RTL, verification, synthesis, timing closure, simulation, lab testing, and layout support. You will collaborate with layout, digital, system, and backend teams while engaging clients through discussions and presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead digital development and design projects
- Develop digital blocks and integrated circuits through verification
- Execute specification, RTL, synthesis, timing, and simulation phases
- Maintain existing designs, test systems, software, and scripts
- Support design reviews, characterization, qualification, and backend targeting
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Electronic or Computer Engineering
- Three to six years of digital IC design experience
- VHDL or Verilog design and simulation experience
- Front-end and backend tools, flows, or floor-planning experience
- Multiple IC tape-outs and strong analytical debugging skills
