The University of Waterloo seeks a dynamic Undergraduate Student Relations Officer to nurture and support student engagement initiatives. This permanent, full-time role within the Faculty of Mathematics emphasizes academic advising, student retention, and transition support for first-year students. You'll supervise student volunteers and lead programs that bolster the overall student experience from admission to graduation.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide academic advising and support for student success
• Lead and coordinate engagement programs for undergraduate students
• Oversee operations of the peer connector program
• Facilitate student recognition activities and communications
• Manage and evaluate math undergraduate orientation programs
Requirements:
• University undergraduate degree required
• 3-5 years in student advising or related roles
• Experience with diverse student groups in academic settings
• Proven project management and crisis management skills
• Ability to deliver effective communication to students Ensure each student thrives and excels at the University of Waterloo through your advising and engagement initiatives.
