Lead assurance engagements in Edmonton with BDO, applying CPA expertise, ASPE or ASNPO knowledge, and strong client relationship skills.
As an Assurance Manager, you will serve private and not-for-profit clients across Alberta. You will manage engagements, review financial statements, resolve accounting issues, and support business development. The role also includes coaching junior professionals, collaborating across service lines, and managing competing deadlines while delivering quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and execute assurance engagements
- Review financial statements and working papers
- Resolve accounting and audit issues
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Coach junior team members and support proposals
Requirements:
- CPA designation or equivalent required
- Four-plus years of public accounting experience
- One-plus year in supervisory or management roles
- Strong ASPE and/or ASNPO technical knowledge
- Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
