Reporting to the Manager Procurement, the Sourcing Specialist analyzes spending, manages agreements, and supports supplier continuity. The position requires procurement knowledge, transportation or logistics awareness, proposal analysis, and clear stakeholder communication. You will also maintain purchasing records and contract information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review spending patterns and identify procurement opportunities
- Prepare and issue RFx documents to potential suppliers
- Analyze proposals and negotiate with vendors
- Develop requirements with internal clients and agreements
- Maintain purchase orders, contracts, files, and supplier relationships
Requirements:
- Commerce or Administration education, preferably specializing in Procurement
- Strong knowledge of transportation, logistics, or MHE equipment
- Business and financial acumen for cost-benefit decisions
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and detailed analytical ability
- English proficiency; bilingualism and SAP MM experience are assets
