Build high-performance defence software in hybrid Ottawa using Python, data processing, enterprise integration, and automated pipelines for Digital Fleet data.
This Software Developer role at Thales focuses on robust solutions supporting naval platforms and in-service support programs. You will collaborate with business analysts, architects, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders. Your work will extract, analyze, validate, transform, classify, enrich, and distribute structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy automated data-processing pipelines
- Integrate REST APIs, databases, files, and message queues
- Define mappings, validation rules, and reconciliation mechanisms
- Apply secure software development practices
- Support deployment, troubleshooting, and production improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant education and experience
- Seven years of software development experience
- Three years of Python programming experience
- Experience with REST APIs, messaging, JSON, and XML
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and containerization
