Craft CG animatics with WildBrain Studios in Vancouver or elsewhere in British Columbia, using Avid, Premiere Pro, and visual storytelling.
This mid-level Animatic Editor reports to the Producer and collaborates with episodic directors. You will assess storyboards and previz, shaping clear sequences through story, pacing, action, and scene development. The role requires strong editorial workflow knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit animatics from initial assembly through final lock
- Assess scenes and propose alternative cuts or storyboard revisions
- Add temporary sound effects and music to audio beds
- Communicate effectively with directors and creative stakeholders
- Organize incoming content, bins, media, and source materials
Requirements:
- Two to three years of animatic editorial experience
- Strong Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro knowledge
- Understanding of post procedures, production, and workflow
- Knowledge of story, pacing, comedic timing, and action sequences
- Experience with remote collaboration across locations and time zones
