Lead precision inspection in Oxford, England, applying GD&T, metrology, and PCBA expertise across regulated quantum hardware manufacturing. Guide daily quality decisions onsite.
As a Senior Receiving Inspector, you will inspect incoming, in-process, and finished components against mechanical, electrical, and PCBA specifications. You will lead inspection work, control nonconforming material, and manage Material Review Board actions. The role requires technical drawing interpretation, statistical sampling, and CMM, OMM, or vision-system experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocate daily inspection work and verify inspectors’ results before release
- Inspect components using approved specifications, drawings, and purchase requirements
- Write nonconformance records and present evidence at the Material Review Board
- Maintain MRB logs, ageing reports, procedures, and inspection metrics
- Coordinate quality issues with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and supply chain
Requirements:
- Six or more years in regulated manufacturing environments
- PCBA inspection experience to IPC-A-610 and aerospace standards
- Hands-on Material Review Board and nonconforming product control experience
- Expertise interpreting ASME Y14.5 drawings and using layout tools
- Experience guiding inspectors and using quality or ERP systems
