Lead municipal infrastructure projects in Edmonton using civil engineering expertise, construction observation, and contract administration skills. APEGA membership is required.
This Municipal Engineer position suits a professional engineer with at least 10 years of municipal engineering experience. You will oversee projects, coordinate disciplines, and support municipal infrastructure delivery. Working knowledge of water and wastewater systems, modelling software, spreadsheet analysis, and construction methods is important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee municipal engineering projects from inception through completion
- Perform design, site inspections, and contract administration duties
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Coordinate designs and inspections across multiple disciplines
- Mentor junior engineers and technologists
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and APEGA membership
- Minimum 10 years of municipal engineering experience
- Experience with construction observation and contract administration preferred
- Knowledge of water and wastewater distribution systems
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities
