About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automotive Electrician to join their specialized workshop in Kimberley . You will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of complex electrical systems in a variety of vehicles. This role demands a deep understanding of automotive electrical principles, advanced diagnostic tools, and the ability to troubleshoot intricate wiring issues. You will play a key role in ensuring the electrical integrity and optimal performance of vehicles, mentoring junior technicians, and maintaining high standards of workmanship in a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults in vehicle wiring, lighting, battery, charging, and starting systems.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and diagnostic data to identify root causes of electrical issues.
• Perform installations and repairs on automotive electrical components, including alternators, starters, sensors, and control modules.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized tools effectively.
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior electricians and apprentices.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Automotive Electrician or a similar advanced role.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and wiring harness repair equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex automotive wiring schematics and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are highly desirable for this position in Kimberley .
