Lead daily accounting operations at Fort Garry Industries with expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and staff supervision. Work from the corporate head office branch.
The Accounting Supervisor monitors accounting activities and supports Senior Accounting Managers. This hands-on position covers general ledger work, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and reporting. It also contributes to process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities
- Review controls, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and variances
- Prepare forecasts and monitor cash, foreign exchange, and bad debt risks
- Assist with statements, budgets, reporting, analysis, and audit preparation
- Support staff through coaching, training, evaluations, and workload assignments
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of accounting experience
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience required
- Accounting degree or equivalent preferred
- CPA or other business accreditation preferred
- Knowledge of accounting rules and reporting requirements
