Lead complex backend software delivery at Prenuvo using Python, Flask, or FastAPI in Vancouver’s hybrid model or remotely across Canada.
As a Senior Engineer II, you will provide technical leadership across large, ambiguous initiatives spanning multiple systems and teams. You will shape software architecture, support AI-assisted development, and improve reliability across services. The work includes backend testing, cross-functional collaboration, and consumer-facing applications or internal tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver complex software solutions across multiple systems or teams
- Own projects from design through rollout
- Guide architecture, code reviews, and engineering practices
- Improve reliability, scalability, observability, and incident response
- Communicate technical concepts to engineers, product managers, and leadership
Requirements:
- Seven or more years delivering complex software systems
- Strong backend experience with Python, Flask, or FastAPI
- Experience writing comprehensive backend tests using Pytest
- Ability to break complex projects into clear milestones
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams
