Build your rail transit career operating LRVs and supporting service recovery. TransEd Valley Line LRT connects southeast Edmonton with downtown.
This LRV Operator position supports revenue and non-revenue operations across the Valley Line. You will follow operating procedures, assist testing activities, communicate with customers, and support the Operation Control Center during normal service and recovery situations. Previous rail transportation experience is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform LRV operations during revenue and non-revenue service
- Assist technicians and engineers with testing investigations
- Support service recovery and emergency brake re-establishment
- Assist customers, including people with accessibility needs
- Visually inspect mainline before service or after maintenance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous rail transit experience considered an asset
- Defensive Driver Training considered an asset
- Strong health, safety, quality, and environmental mindset
- Ability to work independently under pressure
Use rail operations knowledge, practical judgment, and customer care to help deliver dependable Valley Line transit service.
