Based in Ottawa or Vancouver, this role involves designing FEC algorithms that enhance optical transceivers for next-generation systems. The successful candidate will research FEC methodologies while collaborating with teams across DSP, ASIC, and firmware development. You will focus on trade-off analyses and ensure hardware implementations are efficient.
Key Responsibilities
• Research and optimize forward error correction methodologies
• Develop coding architectures, including LDPC and staircase codes
• Simulate FEC performance in optical systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
• Develop simulation models for algorithm testing
Requirements:
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.
D.) in relevant fields
• Expertise in coding theory and FEC schemes
• Programming skills in languages such as Python or MATLAB
• Experience with GitHub version control systems
• Familiarity with hardware languages is advantageous Channel your skills in digital communications and coding at Celero Communications.
