Lead Desjardins’ Claims Operations team in Calgary, using coaching and operational expertise to manage auto and property claim reporting. This temporary six-month position supports a new team of Claim Reporting Specialists.
As Section Manager, you will align daily work with Claims Division priorities while developing talent and fostering accountability. You will oversee claim intake and reporting, support change initiatives, and help deliver consistent experiences for members and clients. The position requires management experience and knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Claims Division strategic priorities with managers and peers
- Oversee daily claim reporting for accuracy and efficiency
- Coach individuals and teams through objectives and feedback
- Build trust, collaboration, engagement, and shared purpose
- Maintain stakeholder relationships supporting smooth operations and satisfaction
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- At least five years’ experience, including management or leadership development
- Experience in management, coaching, mentoring, or leadership
- Property & Casualty insurance experience and CIP designation
- Intermediate Auto and Property Claims operations knowledge
